ThinkTank Studio is chris and erin reynolds, based in our office/living room. We make artisan graphics from the very best pixels available and bring them right to your own computer monitor to savor the delicious combinations of unique design and information presentation with nuevo technology.
We met in the Johnston Center at the University of Redlands where we each pursued an individualized curriculum in diverse fields of art (and other fields) and we’ve been designing together ever since! At ThinkTank we love to create graphics that are just as interesting and effective as what you see out of your window or in an art gallery. Why should it be anything less?
chris is a digital artist and graphic designer. He’s been working on websites and HTML since 1996. He has a Bachelor of Arts of his own design, entitled Creative Arts in the Digital Revolution which was, in essence, art by way of computers, with emphasises in writing, music, computer graphics and graphic design, and video production. He also worked in the IT industry for 4 years and has been hosting a web server for 3 years. He loves all things geek and is attracted to dark colors, metallic graphics, and anything having to do with music.
erin comes to graphic design by way of old-fashioned pen and paper and other hands-on media. Her Bachelor’s is in Art and Women’s Studies and she has a background in printmaking, mixed media, ceramics, and pen & ink. She has been making art for more than 10 years (earlier artworks were deemed refridgerator art) and has been commissioned several times to design graphics for t-shirts and tattoos. erin is drawn to assymetry, sinuous lines and dynamic color relationships. She also likes chasing down new and rare fonts.
Our separate artistic styles, when combined, create a unique collaboration; one whose evidence you will see when you choose us to design your website or compare our sites to some other designs on the web. Our background in fine arts means we know what looks good, and our background in technology means we know how to make your vision come to life on your computer screen.
